I was Pleased with our Overnight Stay at HOTEL ASUNCION, Laoag. (January 1, 2020)

After checking out from Balay Da Blas, we went to our friends’ house in Gabu again for another kitesurfing session for my husband. And then, we transferred to another hotel in Laoag. I found this place called Hotel Asuncion through AGODA.

Hotel Asuncion is one of the accommodations I quite liked in our ten-day-vacation.

Why did I like it?

  • The room we got was great for the price. I paid Php 2,500 for a room with two double beds and free breakfast for three.
  • This hotel seems old but it did not matter to me. The beds were very soft and I had a good sleep!
  • The staffs were all helpful and happy, from the receptionists to the guards and helpers.
  • The breakfast was lovely. Big serving! Yummy!
  • There was no elevator and our room was on the 3rd floor. However, I appreciate the quotations posted along the stairs and pathways about the health benefits of walking upstairs. Well, probably this hotel is not recommended if you are with older people or those who could hardly walk up the stairs.

What we did in Laoag:

We were in Laoag mainly to meet our old friends, catch up and kitesurf for Rhys. Though we still had a chance to take the kids to the plaza and have a play and picture taking. We also had empanadas and street for dinner.

The next day, we drove up to Pagudpud. Click this to read about our Pagudpud stay.
